Cross-Cultural Clarinet Concerts

Join us for 2 different inn-person concerts, with masked audience at Northside Community Church (NCC).  University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre Dance Students of clarinet professors Chad Burrow and Dan Gilbert join forces with teams of pianists and other instrumentalists to shine light on the works of composers outside of the traditional, 19th century & earlier Western European canon. For two nights we intentionally recognize artists of other cultural origins, including David Baker, Shih-Hui Chen, Valerie Coleman, Adolphus Hailstork, Augusta Holmes, Shulamit Ran, Jeanne Shaffer, Roberto Sierra and more.  Free and open to the public.
